About

Global warming is the most serious and biggest issue facing us today. So big that many of us get easily lost and overwhelmed by it. It’s an issue that can paralyse us like a deer caught in a car’s headlights.

Live the Solution aims to-

world

  • help you to live sustainably;
  • explore alternatives to materialism and consumerism;
  • educate and empower you to take action and combat global warming;
  • help you to understand global warming through the use of mind maps; and
  • provide freedom from mental traps and negative conversations that inhibit you from making a difference.
  • jane-genovese-miniThe founder of Live the Solution, Jane Genovese, completed her studies in Law and Psychology at Murdoch University in 2008. In 2009, she completed her thesis with First class Honours on Western Australians and their attitudes towards climate change policy initiatives. She was also awarded Young Environmentalist of the year at the 2009 Western Australian Youth Awards.

    She first became concerned about global warming whilst studying Environmental Law. Learning about the Inuit (Arctic eskimos) losing their way of life due to rapid climate change shocked her. She stated:

    “I couldn’t understand why this issue wasn’t being constantly thrown in our faces by the media. It didn’t make sense”

    After being tired of arguing with skeptics, Jane decided to focus her energy on educating people who were willing to listen and make a difference.

    In 2007, she created her workshop ‘Global warming: Too hot to handle?’ and the ebook, Global Warming: A Mind Mappers Guide to the Science and Solutions. She also delivers climate change and environmental workshops in schools as well as the “Be the Change” symposium in Perth, Western Australia.
